Reshaping classical music at Stockholm Concert Hall

When I see someone on Youtube making a video claiming to do the Barbie Girl song, but classically in the style of six different composers — I have to know more. Turns out, Josep has a pretty interesting life story.

We followed Josep Castayner Alonso for almost 8 months while he was writing his new piece, a classical fugue based on ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley.

The process is hard, long and grueling. Which made me realize this story is about exploring Joesp’s perfectionist tendencies. And it turns out there is a lot in there for anyone to learn.
