Kamerastore in Tampere repairs and sells more film cameras than almost anyone, and its Camera Rescue Project has saved close to 300,000 of them.
It could have been a film about cameras. Following founder Juho Leppänen, from the workshop in Tampere to a pop-up store at the Paris Olympics, it became a film about memory: what happens to our photos when everything is digital, and why things should be built to last.
Kamerastore took part without paying. The story was ours to tell, and that is part of why it works: the company is seen through what it does, not through what it says about itself.
